Summer time

Second post in one day...WHAT?!?  I know, crazy.  I am going to really try to keep up with my "blogging" this time around.  I want to document what we're doing with Kade as he grows older.  I have all these pictures, but nothing written down, so here goes.

This morning Kade and I ventured out across the reservoir to a fun little park called Winner's Circle.  We were there for a cute little two year old's birthday party.  Kellen Tucker turned two yesterday and had her party at the park today.  Kade got to see Kellen and our other friends Ollie and Danni.  Ollie and Kade had fun playing together.  I managed to snag two pictures of Kade while we were there.

After a fun time at the park and a 3 hour nap, yes you read that correctly, 3 hour nap, we decided to take our fun back out into the Mississippi heat and try out a little bike riding.  Kade got his first bike for his birthday this year, and hasn't quite mastered the art of riding, but he's going to be touring soon I know it.  Today's ride is in honor of the Tour de France.  Take a look at my future Lance Armstrong.

getting on the bike is still a little bit of a challenge

serious concentration

if you look close you can see the anguish on his face as he goes up hill.  poor guy

spin a night

Last night Kade was asked, by his cousin Reeves, if he wanted to spend the night.  Kade is not the "hey, let's try this" kind of kid.  He sits back, watches everyone else do it, and then tries it if it looks like fun.  Well, not last night.  Last night Kade didn't hesitate one bit to go over to Shellye, Hunter, and Reeves house.  I packed him a little bag and sent him on his way.  I'll be honest, I thought they would call me around 11 to come get him because he was crying, but, when I texted to see how he was, he was already asleep.  I can't believe my big boy spent the night out for the first time.  I thought I'd experience this in kindergarten.  He has really grown up so much.  My little 4 year old.  Guess it's time to buy a cute sleeping bag.  ;)
